Performance photographs can be used in many different ways.Â
- Images can be used front-of-house on video screen slideshows, or printed, as a talking point to excite and enthuse the audience as they arrive and leave your venue.
- Live photography of this nature also provides a useful base of promotional material for future use.
- Performance photographs can also be provided to the performers as a record of their work.
I have worked in venues of every size from classrooms and 100-seat auditoriums to the 3,000-seat SEC Armadillo in Glasgow.
How I work
Photographing in the theatre requires specific equipment and an approach that does not distract performers or audiences. Â
Typically I photograph your dress rehearsal – but I also have experience of photographing live performances where my low-noise camera equipment is particularly useful.
I can deliver images within 24 hours, meaning that you can have images ready for use on opening night. Images can be provided as large-format prints or as digital files. Â
I have stands, monitors and presentation equipment that is available for hire and can be used front-of-house, or backstage, to present images as a slideshow for audiences. (Requires power and approx 1 square metre space per stand)
I have full public liability insurance and hold a PVG (disclosure) certificate for working with children’s and youth groups.
